Frequently asked questions
How do I play?
It's classic Sudoku on a 6×6 grid. Every row, every column, and every 2×3 box must contain each of the six icons exactly once. Tap a cell, then tap an icon at the bottom to place it. Tap a filled cell to highlight everywhere that icon already appears.
What do Easy, Medium, and Hard change?
How many squares are filled in when you start. Fewer givens means more deduction — the rules never change, only how much of the board you have to work out yourself.
Why was I told I made a mistake when the row and column looked fine?
Mosaic Six checks each entry against the puzzle's actual solution, not just for duplicates nearby. An icon can be legal locally and still be the wrong one for that square. The mistake counter at the top keeps track.
What do Hint and Undo do?
Hint fills the correct icon into your selected cell — or, if nothing's selected, the next empty one. Hint-filled squares show in a different color so you can tell them apart from your own. Undo takes back your last move, hints included.
What is Notes mode?
Turn on Notes to pencil in several possible icons in one cell while you work out the answer. Notes never count as answers, and they clear automatically when you place a real icon in that cell.
I closed the app and my puzzle was gone.
Mosaic Six doesn't save puzzles between sessions yet — a puzzle lives only while the app is open. Finishing a puzzle in one sitting is the intended pace; saving in-progress puzzles is something we're considering for a future update.
Does the app collect anything?
No. Mosaic Six has no internet connection, no account, no ads, and no in-app purchases — you pay once for the app and that's it. See the Privacy Policy.
